2006 Pro Kids North American Junior Freestyle Championships

Starboard International, Trident Sports, Windsurfing Canada, and the Rondeau Yacht Club, are pleased to announce the winner of the 1 st Annual "ProKids North American Junior Freestyle Championships" held June 3 rd, and 4th, 2006, on the shores of Lake Erie at the Rondeau Yacht Club in Ontario. Congratulations to Vincent Tremblay from Québec City. Vincent will fly to Bonaire in July to compete in the finals, Pro Kids Aug. 3-6, 2006.

This event (17 years of age and under) was the North American Qualifier for the 'ProKids Worlds', with the winner of this event receiving airfare (courtesy of Trident Sports – Starboard International) to the "ProKids' Worlds", to be held on the island of Bonaire . The winner, Vincent Tremblay is from Québec City.

Rondeau Yacht Club, established in 1932, is a youth oriented facility dedicated to the instruction of Windsurfing, Sailing, Swimming, and Canoeing. RYC sits within the boundaries of Rondeau Provincial Park on Rondeau Bay, and is located within an 1 hour drive from the Canada/U.S. border (Windsor, Ontario/Detroit, Michigan), and a 3 hour drive from Toronto along the Highway 401 corridor.

Bonaire was proud to host the first Pro Kids Event in 2005 and now prepares for the finals to be held in world famous Lac Bay. The Pro Kids World's website's registration page is up and running. Please go to and register today.

Pro Kids Freestyle Worlds 2006 Notice of Competition
The Island Of Bonaire welcomes competitors from all over the globe to the Pro Kids Worlds Freestyle event.

The dates of the event are August 3rd-6th. Pre-registration is REQUIRED to be accepted into the event. All competitors MUST be pre-registered by Wednesday, August 1st at 5pm. No entries accepted after that time.

  • The Pro Kids Worlds is open to all kids and junior competitors under the age of 18.
  • The amateur Event is open to all amateur men and women 18 and older.
  • Event winners will be recognized by their age group division.
Division for boys/girls and men/women are as follows:
  • 0-7 years – All children in this division must have a parent/adult in attendance at all times to help on and off the water.
  • 8-9 years
  • 10-11 years
  • 12-13 years
  • 14-15 years
  • 16-17 years
  • 18+
  • Opening and registration Aug. 3rd 19:00 -- Mandatory Captains meeting
  • Start Aug. 4th 14:00
  • Start Aug. 5th 10:00
  • Start Aug. 6th 10:00 - Awards at 17:00
